<p>People who are trying to lose weight and gain overall wellness need another source of protein to help them achieve their weight loss and wellness goals. A possible answer? Soy.</p>
<p>And while I would absolutely love for soy to be the miracle cure of all menopausal symptoms-at this early stage, I feel that we should await results of the tests that are currently being carried out, before we become too excited.</p>
<p>The research is showing positive results in the relationship between soy food and lung health. In general terms, organic food, including those rich in antioxidants are beneficial for our health.</p>
<p>This type of fat is good for you and has been proven to reduce risks for cancer and heart disease. Other advantages associated with soy foods are their high fiber content. Fiber is one of the best nutrients.</p>
<p>Use soy milk instead of regular milk with your cereal, tea or coffee. Add tofu to your diet. Use soybeans instead of regular beans There are soy ice creams, so that you can substitute these for your regular ones. Studies shows that soy protein reduces plasma concentrations of LDL cholesterol but not affecting HDL cholesterol.</p>
<p>The only difference is that soy cheese is made from soy. It is specifically manufactured for individuals with milk allergies, lactose intolerance, those who are vegans, and those with religious restrictions.</p>
<p>The trypsin inhibitors interfere with the digestion of protein, resulting in stunted growth while the phytoestrogens from soy, touted by the soy producers as beneficial for menopausal women, which they are, but also have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in younger women.</p>
<p>A newborn cannot excrete this extreme manganese load, creating high manganese levels in the blood, liver, kidneys and other soft tissues of the body, including the brain.</p>
<p>The health claim states that 25 grams of soy protein per day may reduce the risk of heart disease. The health claim also states that most soyfoods are low in saturated and trans fat.</p>
<p>Most infants and children in the Asian population will find themselves eating the 80 to 100 mg of soy per day. After a number of years, the isoflavones in their bodies will build and their chances for prostate cancer will be reduced with each bite.</p>
<p>If soy is fermented and non-GM (genetically modified,) soy can be a healthy addition to your diet. Fermented soy products include tempeh, miso, natto and soy sauce or tamari.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to be up-to-date on the latest research on nutrition, especially the way everything is mass produced these days and made to taste good at the expense of being good for you.</p>
<p>Textured vegetable protein is also soy-based and is frequently found in fast foods. These should be avoided while you try to conceive, along with tofu, which is found in many imitation meat products.</p>

<p>Deciding to fast must be a personal decision &#8211; but if you are seeking to find out more about what is involved, then the following information is an outline of the experiences of others, designed to help you make that decision with all the facts at hand. </p>

<p> For many of us, our knowledge of fasting is tied to ideas of spiritual or religious practices. In ancient times when people fasted they believed that doing so would improve their clarity of thought, and bring spiritual enlightenment and inspiration. In fact many people who fast relay a feeling of being more removed from the physical and a more spiritually focussed consciousness. It should be reflected however, that having strong values is integral to this &#8211; as mental attitude is huge part of ones sense of the world. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>There is a belief that fasting may lead to starvation &#8211; but this is clearly not how it should work. You should be providing your body with all the necessary nutrition you require via liquids. If you do loose any incidental weight then the feeling is that it was unnecessary weight to begin with, and that your body, being given a break, is merely eliminating the toxins and extra weight that we gain over time. It is not recommended that you conduct practices such as a water-only fast, but if you are fasting and having only fruit and/or vegetable juices your body will be nourished without excessive intake of food and the complications of that. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>If you are going to attempt to fast then you should only be doing so if your overall health is good. If you are suffering from a serious disease or an acute or chronic condition &#8211; you should not be fasting. It is also worthwhile to conduct a fast under the direction of a practitioner such as a naturopath, particularly as these professionals tend to know more about the process than MDs. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Should you decide to take supplements whilst you are fasting, then you should take only pure supplements. These are digested straight into the body and they do not contain fillers that need to be digested. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>During the first few hours of fasting, it is possible to experience a feeling of weakness, but don&#8217;t be alarmed. This occurs as your body mobilises toxins and begins to eliminate them from your system Upon entering your blood stream you may find that these cause you to experience cravings and this will be at its most intense as you go through the first several days of fasting. There is also a likelihood that you will experience a feeling of weakness and think that you are starving and must eat, but this isn&#8217;t the case. </p>

<p>When we eat, most of us are unaware that we use 90% of our energy simply to process the food we have consumed. In the modern diet this is the case because there are a large number of chemicals and over-processed foods, such as white flour and artificial ingredients. Perhaps you have noticed how you can feel actually less energetic when you have stuffed yourself? People that stick with a truly healthy diet often have far more energy, because they haven&#8217;t overloaded their bodies on these foods that contain high levels of toxins. Consider the fact that the human has evolved to eat whole, organic foods over thousands of years. </p>

<p>A good analogy could be to consider a car. You wouldn&#8217;t fill the gas tank with dirt, water or cola and expect it to continue running without any problems. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What most people in America call &#8220;health care reform&#8221; has nothing to do with real health care.  What they refer to is actually quick fix idiocy.  Sure, doctors fix broken bones and other accident injuries, and yes, I am very grateful to have them in case of these emergencies&#8230; but for the most part they prescribe quick fixes (drugs and unnecessary operations) for people that have not, and refuse to, take the time to take care of themselves by natural means.  Most of these people have been eating out at junk food restaurants for years and watching tv for hours a day!  They eat eggs w/cheese every morning and meat and potatoes at night.  They&#8217;ve been drinking unfiltered water, breathing smog while sitting in traffic and doing antibiotics to kill off infections created by their weakened immune systems and poor lifestyle habits.  Ask any of them how many books they&#8217;ve read about natural healing!  The answer will usually be zero. </p>
